Great points. From my point of view, I try to keep to my mantra of "Only use products and services that make like simpler and more productive, avoid anything else".

While all the different sites may each offer some benefits, we risk creating a "meta problem".

How are we going to manage all these sites without getting suicidally confused?

The only answer is: Convergence and integration. You see it happening with Facebook (thats the main reason I signed up for it), Spock and any other "2.01" sites. Thats where the attention and the money will be. Its also the road where Google seems to be heading.

I am not sure if Linkedin is supposed to represent Paul, as it is away from the others in the graphic, but if so, I actively use all but Paul.

I just never found a lot of value in Linkedin fo myself.

Love the others.

Great to see you in Miami, Stephanie!

Thanks Chris. I will update the graphic to link out. I too believe in the benefit of face-2-face. Look forward to visiting with my "peeps" in Cali in September for Tech Crunch and at Blog World Expo in Vegas in November!

Thanks for all your hard work toward building community.

Cheers,
Stephanie

Great post, and you've clearly got the right mindset on it. I use the digital fab 4 you listed to be the vanguard of my efforts. From there, I like to take the digital relationships physical as soon as possible, so I can meet the folks in person and establish even more of a connection.

Suggestion: turn your links to the Fab4 sites to links directly to your profile. Makes it easier for folks to add you. : )

Best to you, and great video!!!
