I don't see anything wrong with parents buying cell phones for their kids. That's about 400+ per day. I don't know where her mother is to monitor this but I think the whole text thing is out of control. You can't even have a conversation with anyone anymore without them looking at their phone, multi-tasking, having two converstations at once.
