The Mediterranean is not just home to some of the most magnificent ocean waters in the world. It is also filled with some historic sights and rich culture that you shouldn’t miss out on when you visit these five countries.

Tel Aviv, Israel

Tel Aviv is known for its pristine beaches, rockin’ nightlife, and most importantly, historical significance. If you’re interested in authentic architecture, you should visit White City, which is marked by its almost 4,000 Israeli style houses, called Bauhaus, that are a great representation of architectural trends during the 1930s. Other historical landmarks include Old Jaffa, Neve Tzedek, and the Old Tel Aviv Port Area. There are plenty of hotel accommodations in the historical neighborhoods of the city.

Athens, Greece
